Effect of well configuration, well placement and reservoir characteristics on the performance of marine gas hydrate reservoir

Reservoir simulations are used to forecast the long-term gas production from hydrate reservoirs. In present work, we explore different well placements and configurations analyze strategy for an oceanic, unconfined, class-2, reservoir using in-house three-dimensional finite volume simulator. past, depressurization in unconfined class-2 reservoirs, isolation of aquifer zone by placement is suggested. We show that high pressure conditions marine ineffective even with horizontal producer placed far away aquifer. Therefore, Warm water injection necessary along depressurization. demonstrate that, injector configuration determines behavior do not significantly impact potential. also find below helps warm convection proximity improves behavior. However, reservoirs low initial pressure, effective leads a very recovery (80%) gas. The porosity governs which affects available dissociation energy hydrates hence recovery. layered reservoir, layer adjacent overburden has significant on due overburden.
